| Don't be fooled by the price, this is a genuine Ecuadorian, grade 3, Panama hat. We purchased a significant quanity that entitled us to a break in the price that we are passing on to our customers. The Panama hat bodies are blocked and finished in the American Southwest. The hats include cotton sweatbands. There are four styles in this $45 collection. This porkpie style has a 2 1/4 inch brim. Afterall, when you think "European fedora", strolling the Via Veneto in Rome with an overcoat draped over your shoulders and wearing a Borsalino may just come to mind. And although "panama" is straw material and not a style, many associate the panama hat as a fedora style. Put them together and, voila, you have a basic classic.
