Each MonoRail lighting kit comes with all the power and hardware you need for most basic installations of a quality, low-voltage lighting system. How to select a power transformer: Keep in mind the total wattage of the light fixtures (pendants, heads, or functional art lights) you plan to use. A 300 Watt transformer can support up to six 50 Watt fixtures. A surface-mount transformer is mounted into your ceiling junction box. A remote transformer is mounted in another location, such as a closet. After you decide on the kit configuration that best suits your needs, simply add your choice of Tech Lighting pendants, heads, or functional art to complete your low voltage lighting design.
